before substack, you had to just write emails to your mom
it's earth day so this felt appropriate
i’ve always been a creature of the internet, as evidenced by this monday night email to my mom from high school.
before substack, you just had to write emails.
i guess before emails, you had to write letters.
luckily for us, my mom prints out her emails—which is kind of turns an email into a letter, so that’s cool.
i don’t remember writing this but i know exactly what happened, cause it’s what always happens. i’m driving, i write something in my head and i rush to my computer to type it out when i get home.
a couple years after this when i got to be on tv as a reporter for the very first time it was on a MyNetwork station that barely anyone had access to, so the news director let me have a celebrity gossip block in the newscast on the weekends where i talked about justin bieber and paris hilton and lindsey lohan and it was so fun.
i still love mary-kate. and PEOPLE still hasn’t interviewed mother nature.
